Elf foundation shade that is mac nc203/17/2024 ![]() It didn’t suit my skin at all, so I went one shade down, in the yellow category, which was 021 that I have now. But 010 is quite strongly neutral, and quite white. Initially I had bought the Star foundation in 010 because everything seemed too dark (including 021, which I have). Looking closely, it even looks more yellow than Missha’s BB cream, despite being “Pink Beige”. The color is good enough, initially I thought it wasn’t compatible with my skintone because it’s supposed to be “Pink Beige”, but I think it matches with my skin very well and brightens my complexion slightly. This is actually from just a 5ml sample of the CC cream that I have. When first applied, this BB cream is too light for my face, but after a few minutes it settles nicely and just has a good brightening effect to my skin. Fortunately, the gray/white cast fades after a while after being applied. To be honest, this has quite a bit of a gray shade to it, as many BB creams do. Significantly lighter than NC20, and decidedly neutral-pink. I might have to visit MAC again to be re-shade matched ^^ I’ve always thought my skin was heavily yellow-based, but nowadays I seem to notice neutral tones work much better on me. It also oxidizes slightly after I have it on, so then it becomes way too warm and dark. This foundation matches my face well enough, but is too dark for my liking. Quite clearly too yellow for my skin, but for my face (which has a bit more yellow than my arm) it’s okay. This will be visible in the pictures later on, where it can be seen that the NC20 foundation is too dark. It could be considered being more matched to NC15. ![]() The skin on the inside of my arm (that I swatched everything on) is quite lighter than my face. WHY on earth MAC doesn’t make a shade in between to compensate for the giant shade gap between NC15 and 20… I don’t know). To be honest, NC20 is slightly too dark for my skin, but the next shade up, NC15, is too light (it’s practically white haha. I’m basing the color comparisons on the knowledge that the skin on my face was matched to the shade NC20 last year August, so that is what I’ll compare the others to, since MAC shades are quite commonly known. Here I will show a shade comparison between the foundations and BB creams that I currently own ^^ I’ve only left out my Laneige BB cushion, and two CC creams that I own because their color is pretty much white when squeezed out until you blend it thoroughly into your skin for it to change color. So I’m back with a short (?) and quick post. ![]() (also, have you noticed? I changed the layout/design of my blog hehe >w< I might still do more adjustments to it ^^) It’s been nearly TWO months since my last post omg (x_x) so much for trying to be more active on this blog.
